'Best Warm-Weather Hiker'

'Each year, we see a lot of the same brands. Finding an outlier is like unearthing treasure. Seadon is a newcomer we found on Kickstarter. They’ve done their homework and brought a gem of a pant this year. Their Helios Trail Pant ($100) is the best lightweight pant on the market today.'

Lightweight and breathability

The key interesting points are their lightweight, nice stretch and breathability. The pants are also water-resistant and quick-drying. I can wear them for over a week before washing them.

The only concerns are the durability and unsure whether they could withstand the twigs and spiky things if you're going into the forested areas.

Beautiful shorts with iffy fit

Well made and decent colors but the fit is not consistent with other parts of the brand.

Review of Seadon Helios Trail Pants

Background

I was looking for a pair of pants that would be suited for travel. Currently I use jeans and noted over time they aren’t the best for travelling. They are a bulky, keep you quite warm (could be good or bad) and take forever to dry. I came across a few YouTube videos recommending the Seadon Helios trail pants.

Below I will list the pros and cons.

Pros:

1) Water resistant – this feature is nice as any little spills fall right off.

2) Quick Dry – even though it repels water it can get wet however it dries off quickly.

3) Light – This pair of pants are light and feels comfortable to be in. They feel refreshingly lighter than jeans.

4) Rolling up– It is pretty easy to roll up the pants to your knees and it stays there. Something I have struggle with other pants as it would just fall back to the ankles.

5) Breathable – Walking with these pants was nice typically I wear shorts if walking, but these were quite comfortable.

6) Pockets – 4 pockets that are good fit not too deep not to shallow for me. The zipper pocket is in a bit of an odd place, but I have found it to be useful.

7) Adjustable built in belt strap – I like this feature as I won’t need to take of my belt at the airport.

8) Fit – The fit I selected based on the measurements on the site were great for me. It goes for a slim fit look, if you want a baggier look I would suggest going up a size. However, the fit based on the site recommendations was great for me.

9) Stretchy – It has a rather nice stretch…

Exactly the pants I need for a trip to East Africa

Light and durable fabric, solid colors and the pants legs can be cinched at the ankel so that insect can’t bite my leg.
