WE’RE ALL IN.
From the moment SEADON set foot on this earth, we set our intention to build an outdoors brand and product experience that echoed the environment. One that worked with nature, not against it. All SEADON fabrics, materials and packaging are made from recycled resources to limit our – and your – environmental footprint. Operating as an official Climate Neutral company with WRAP compliance, we’re all for being human-kind so nature’s not left behind.
FREEDOM FIBRES
SEADON chooses Tencel™ Active cellulosic fibres made from renewable wood sources using environmentally sound production processes. Being botanic in origin, it’s certified safe, completely biodegradable, gentle on the skin and works with your body’s natural cooling system to keep you dry and comfortable. Discover new-found freedom to move with confidence.
BLENDING IT BETTER
A fine balance to a better fabric.
KINDER THAN COTTON
Tencel is one of the kindest fabrics due to its antimicrobial properties, increased moisture absorption (up to 50%) and ability to help those with sensitive skin or allergies. It helps you stay fresh by controlling the sweat.
SOFTER THAN SILK
Tencel’s signature, silky-smooth feel is like no other due to its ultra-fine fibre structure. It’s a touch of luxe that breathes better for you.
COOLER THAN LINEN
Tencel acts like a thermostat by keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter. It’s a unique fabric innovation with temperature regulation coming standard.
WILD AND WOOLY
SEADON chooses certified ZQ Merino Wool made from ecologically regenerative farming techniques. Grown in New Zealand, it’s the world’s leading ethical wool supplier championing animal welfare, environmental sustainability, fibre quality, social responsibility and traceability to source. We go with ZQ natural fibres because it’s intelligent wool for environmentally intelligent people.
BORN TO PERFORM. NATURALLY.
Where technical meets sustainable.
MAKE THE GRADE
ZQ Merino Wool is a 17.5 micron, ultra-fine, non-mulesed blend giving you A-grade comfort whether sweating it out or lazing about. The finer the wool, the softer the feel.
CHEMICAL FREE
ZQ Merino wool is a pure performer in the wet being naturally water-resistant due to its hydrophobic (water-repelling) properties. No harsh chemicals coatings to keep you dry.
WRINKLE-FREE
ZQ Merino Wool’s naturally elastic qualities make for wrinkle-free, wearing ease. Simply hang for half-an-hour and you’re good to go.
TRASH TO TREASURE
SEADON chooses Recycled Polyester made from post-consumer water bottles as certified by Bluesign® RPET. It's not the silver bullet to saving the planet but it is a proactive practice compared to virgin polyester which uses non-renewable resources as raw production material. Shredded plastic chips are turned into soft-yet-tough yarn with the whole process reducing greenhouse gases, landfill and water use. It’s a good thing when you can turn plastic into fantastic.
SO GOOD, WE BOTTLED IT.
Wear a recycling revolution.
STEP 01. PLASTIC COLLECTION.
We work with our production partners and reputable recycling companies to recover two of the most prolific waste materials: marine plastics and post-consumer plastic bottles.
STEP 02. SORT. SHRED. MELT.
Collected plastics and bottles are sorted then shredded into tiny flakes; these are subsequently melted and transformed into recycled polyester pallets.
STEP 03. THREADS COUNT.
Polyester pallets are melted and fed through an extrusion tool to produce our finest recycled yarn; with a few SEADON secrets weaved in to enhance its technical properties.
STEP 04. THE RIGHT KNIT.
Our skilled fabric partner has developed a unique SEADON knitting technique based on our stringent performance and quality requirements: ultralight, dynamic stretch, silky-soft feel, durability and aesthetically a1.
NET ZERO IMPACT
SEADON chooses Recycled Nylon made from discarded fishing-nets sourced world-wide. It shares the same ecological benefits as Recycled Polyester by diverting waste from landfills while also requiring fewer production resources than virgin nylon. Diverting garbage from the ocean is another huge environmental plus in preserving sea life and global water quality.
SEA A CLEAN FUTURE
Catch a new recycling wave.
STEP 01. PLASTIC COLLECTION.
We work with our reputable recycling company to recover discarded nylon fishing nets proactively sourced from the ocean (ghost nets), aquaculture operators and the fish industry.
STEP 02. PURIFY. ACTUALISE.
Collected nets of all sizes, weights and colours are purified and radically regenerated back into original, pure nylon.
STEP 03. THREADS COUNT.
Regenerated nylon is reworked into our highest-quality, all-terrain yarn; with a few SEADON secrets weaved in to enhance its technical properties.
STEP 04. THE RIGHT KNIT.
Our skilled fabric partner has developed a unique SEADON knitting technique based on our stringent performance requirements: ultralight, dynamic stretch, silky-soft feel, durability and aesthetically a1.
